Demand to high officials in India to report on their menstrual cycles

From now on, women holding senior management positions in India to report on their menstrual cycles, according to The Guardian newspaper.
The new labor measures for 2007, applicable to the senior official, require their employees fill out a form that consists of three pages on health.
In these, are asked to provide a "detailed history" on your period, and the last date on which enjoyed maternity leave and its duration.
The move has angered women workers, the Tanchan of "insolent and misplaced."
About 10% of the 4,000 staff in India are female.
An officer of the Minister of Labour, Satyanand Mishra, said he did not know exactly the reasons that had pushed to those questions appear in the questionnaire.
"I guess that will help assess the health of employees in the department," he ventured.
