The Commission National Environment is undergoing public consultation Draft Standard Liquid Waste Emissions to Groundwater DS.46 and Draft Regulatory Emission Standard for Pollutant Discharges Associated with Waste liquid surface fresh water and Marine DS90 from March 2 to June 9 this year.
As part of the public consultation process April 12 from 9:00 until 14:00 hrs . will be a workshop presentation of both draft depending on Iquique CONAMA
CONAMA has Web page http://epacplanesnormas.conama.cl/como.php specially designed to obtain information associated with all plans and policies are in public consultation stage, as well, make observations, which will be analyzed and answered in conjunction with those collected from different participatory bodies to be established.
The comments received during the public consultation, will be systematized so that the Operating Committee to analyze its relevance and incorporated into the draft standard or plan.
Finally, once it has been prepared the final text and its scope, it diffuses through initiatives aimed at the people involved and the general public.

As indigenous organization with guidelines based on our worldview, we are concerned that we are aware of role that civil society in this kind of citizen consultation and it is important to inform and generate discussion to strengthen the knowledge and thus tending to the protection and care of our mother earth and the waters surround it, basically everything is related to our quality of life.
TO KNOW: Water pollution
refers to the presence of contaminants in water (rivers, waters and groundwater). The main pollutants are discharged industrial waste (presence of metals and waste water at high temperature) and sewage (reorganization of populations).
