The title seems apocalyptic, however it may be less. It all depends on what we do, how they think, feel and live take, as individuals and society.
The climate catastrophe and social and environmental degradation in which we are accustomed to living, on their way to a final outcome. The world can not continue so for much longer. That is the view of those who want to see and will continue hiding for fools who continue to live their lives as if nothing happened. For those who prefer not to see and live a more comfortable, uncommitted and selfish. But keep trying to hide for those with difficult access to information.
The end of the world will not be an overnight, even in a few months, but surely if in a few years. Not even be "The End of the World." There will be a big bang, not a sudden ice age, or we will stay suddenly without oxygen or water. Not die all together or frozen, or burned. No end to blow all species of life on Earth, but the change is happening and will be great.
The end of the world just the end of one era and the beginning of another. Both for the planet, and for species that inhabit it.
least a thousand years ago (almost nothing in the days of humanity) we were convinced that Earth was the center of the universe and everything revolved around us. Until we discovered that the true center was our sun But it was not well, even our galaxy was. And we were falling into the pyramid to the bottom. A kind but in a more simple world, turning around one of billions of stars that orbits a galaxy of thousands more, the only universe we know but may not even be the only one there.
Then our ego was getting hit after hit, the center of the universe we be near insignificance. To recover we were "forced" to invent things that made us feel more powerful, more important. And we invest time and effort with a great cost. Move heavily on science, knowledge, physics, chemistry, mathematics, but neglect the social organization, contact with the nature of which we are part, we neglect the relationship with our peers and, worse, neglect our inner . And not only move, but you could say that we stepped back a few steps.
All the undeniable progress that we have had in science, has not been reflected in a much less internal evolution, spiritual, moral, ethical, caring and this is still our big deficit. Our outstanding matters to be prepared for the great change that has already begun on a global level.
Mayas, Aztecs, Greeks, Egyptians and others in the Middle East and many other ancient peoples, have been more evolved than us in many ways or, rather, have devolved on them in many areas.
To be prepared for the "end times" for the purpose of this era and the beginning of a new, we need to reconnect with nature, contact with her and our neighbors, revive more altruistic values \u200b\u200bfor all living being that inhabits the planet, because each is a necessary part for the survival of another.
We must be ready for something completely unknown to the new paradigms that govern the initiation of a new era, where if we have not learned from past mistakes so far, will not survive. But if we achieved that "evolution" we can build and enjoy a much better world and for all.
